Now just one GL450 with EORP.
I'm in...new to me 08 GL320CDI

Just brought in our new family truckster yesterday. A CPO'ed 08 320CDI with a scant 15k on the clock. P1 package, trailer hitch are the things we wanted. 19" wheels, Illuminated door sills and running boards are the things we didn't ;-(
Love the force of nature push when accelerating. Love the 28mpg I got cruising at 60mph on flatland last night. Fantastic ride.

I'm tall and the running boards actually interfere with my ability to stand and reach in to the car for the kiddie seat, do I need a different set of rocker panels if I remove them?

Also, the voice for the NAV system became very weak while the radio volume stayed the same...I've looked all over the manual for the NAV voice output slider but there doesn't seem to be one. Is it tied to the radio volume?

Oh yeah I know, pics or it didn't happen. They're coming.
EDIT: Pic added.

Not sure why you posted twice but ... anyway, the problem with the NAV is that you must adjust the volume while the NAV is speaking. It also means you can mute the voice during navigation by hitting the mute button while she's speaking and you'll get a message informing you of the NAV being muted. (Well, on my '07 you do.)

Good luck to ya!

Me too - I passed on putting them on as they were more in the way than of any help. I believe the boards connect under the matte black rocker so you should be able to take them off without any blemish issue. Post them on here you might even get them sold!

Congrats on the new ride. I love mine - even though the nav sucks and the radio has it's slow issues...the ride is awesome and the mileage is even better!
Enjoy!

Now just one GL450 with EORP.
They wanted high 50's. I gave them low 50's.

There should be a repeat (RPT) button on your radio to get the Nav to repeat the last instruction. Press it, then as STP said... adjust the volume as she's speaking.
