HID Slim Ballast installation
I have read some installation of the HID slim ballast can be in the housing of the lamp so I don't have to drill a hole in the dust cover. If you have done this can you advise what system you installed and whether there are any heat issues. I have a 2010 GL 350. Thanks.

I did that exact install using xenith xenons 6000k kit with error cancelors too. Everything fit perfectly. I have opened up the housing after a 1 hr summer drive with the lights on and found the ballasts to be nothing more than warm.
But.....I now have a tiny bit of radio static on certain stations when the HIDs are on....Keeping the HIDs.

Not the seller I used but this is similar to the kit I'm using. Make sure you get the error cancellors.
