Hello experts,

I just bought a 2007 GL450 . I love this car and in teh process of learning much about it.
This car didn;t have teh IPOD connect in the glove box but has a rear entertainement video thing for the kids. I am pretty sure that it was installed by Mercedes. I have 2 questions though:

1. Can you hear teh audio from a CD played in teh back system through the car speakers? or is it only through headphones?

2. Can I connect an IPOD through the RCA jacks and hear the audio through the audio through the car's speakers?

I think you will have to buy HARNESS (AASS Harness) for the audio to play in the car speaker. I'm not 100% sure though. it worked for me though but I have IPOD integration kit installed.

I was a the MB dealer today and they told me that if I install an IPOD interation kit that the sound from the read DVD player won;t play in the car's speakers anymore!!
is that you you guy's experience with this?

On onther thread I read about the Denison product. Is the above limitation true for it also?

If you have IPod Integration kit, you will need an AUX switch to hear the audio from the speaker (from IPOD and car audio). part number is B67-42-4288.
