Side Mirror Replacement Questions
2009 GL550. Was sideswiped by a drunk driver while on the highway. Saw him coming from behind erratically and extremely fast so I swerved over. He flew by on driver's side and BOOM. Chased him down (stupid). Made him pull over (stupid again) He didn't stick around. Filing a police report.
Couldn't believe when I looked at my car. His mirror must have clipped the outside of my mirror. Small nick on door, but otherwise no damage other than the mirror. Outside of mirror gone. Glass hanging off. Clipped it back on and the mechanics are fine. Works perfectly.
Does Mercedes sell only the outside? Are they pre-painted? Looks like it can be clipped and/or screwed back on. I haven't had a chance to really examine it. Does anyone know how the outide attaches? Cost?
