Moving from BMW to GL450 - Need help
Hey,
I'm new to the forum and am planning on moving from a BMW 330Ci convertible to a 2007 GL450 (I've got an 8 month old). Looking for some help from you guys:
1) Planning to buy from Carmax - any experiences good or bad?
2) Can someone pull a Carfax report & PM me? The Autocheck looks fine but I want to be doubly sure. VIN 4JGBF71E97A191301
3) Should I buy the Carmax extended warranty? The GL has 53.5K miles. The quotes I got are:
18 mo/18K mi: $1449
36 mo/36K mi: $1949
48 mo/48K mi: $2649
Should I buy extended warranty at all? I've heard about the GLs transmission & air suspension issues... anything else?
4) Any other tips/suggestions/warnings before I close the deal?

Great experiences from carmax - ditto on get the warranty. In my area they specifically tell you to go to MB for warranty work and the warranty pays for any work after the $75 deductable.

It's against forum rules to request someone run a CARFAX report for you because you are asking them to violate their user agreement.
We understand you're pretty cheap, but the better investment is to pay a Mercedes dealer for a pre-purchase inspection.
