Tail Lamp Bulb

We have a taillight bulb that's out. The manual says it takes a p21/4w bulb. No autozone or pepboys i've been to has this bulb. They think they may have it but it doesn't list the gl450 in their part number books. Do I have to go to the dealer or does someone know what autozone or pep boys part number the tail light is?

PepBoys is the wrong place to shop for parts for German cars. Mercedes is out their league.

BMW or VW dealers will have this bulb if you hate going to a Mercedes dealer.

Or perhaps you could have "PepBoys" (gag) look up the taillight bulb for an early VW New Beetle.

Just ran into this same issue. I had a tail light bulb go out and got the message on the screen. I checked the manual and it said the correct replacement was a P21/4w. I ordered 4 bulbs and when I went to go replace them it turns out every bulb is a P21w. In fact, it's stamped right on the socket of each bulb. I guess they changed there mind.

Funny thing is that Amazon said it wouldn't work in my truck, but I dismissed that since the manual was very specific. I guess I should have listened.
