2007 GL 450 not compatable with Michelin?
We have a 2007 GL 450 that came out with Continental 275/55/R19 tires, They were replaced with Michelin Demaris 275/55/R19 tires by Raben Tire at 26190 miles, After approx 5000 miles Raben rotated the tires, We noticed that they are a little noisy and were featheredging, At 33749 miles Raben replaced the tires and had D Pat align all four and air ride pump replaced under warranty, After 4000 miles the tires were featheredging and were rotated,The tires were getting so noisy you thought you were driving a old 4x4 pickup with monstor mudder tires!! D Pat replaced the tires under Mercedes Goodwill assistance program at 48869 miles with a discount! At 52546 miles D Pat rotated the tires and noticed the tires were featheredging! I talked to D Pat after a few thousand miles and they thought rotating the tires would not improve the featheredging and tire noise! It now has 64863 miles and am taking it in for a message that the brakes need attention! Has anyone had similar problems with Michelin Demarus tires that are not compatable with a GL 450? D Pat and Raben tire have both been excellant to work with! However three sets of Demarus tires featheredging and being noisy is not a good track record do you think?

We have a 2007 cdi and replaced our Conti's at about 28 K with your exact tires. They have been rotated three times since then, with now 43 K. They are somewhat noisier than from earlier.
What is feather edging? I don't notice any vibration or any other obvious problems...
