Just bought a new 2011 GL 350 Diesel!

Just ordered a 2011 GL 350 Diesel with all the options I wanted. I got it at invocie price plus $3,000 off past that for fleet discount purchased thru my limo company. It'll be here in ~6+ weeks. Theyre gonna grab an already in production one and spec it with my options I want as there werent any with the options I wanted. I cant wait to get 25+ mpg as I'm coming from a hummer h2 getting 12mpg!

Options I got, p1 package with navi, lighting package, blind spot assist, trailer hitch kit, brushed aluminum runner boards with illumination kit, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, 3 zone climate control for ac/heat in the 3rd row seat, roofbars, and chrome accesorry package.

The only question I have is on mbusa.com it says •Engine 3.0L DOHC 24-valve V-6 , then it says The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 delivers assertive horsepower, massive torque, and acceleration on par with many gasoline V-8 engines.

So it does have a turbo? Also are there any special things to do in the cold Ohio winter when starting it? It'll be in my garage but ovbiously it'll be started in the cold when out and about.

This is my first mercedes so me and my fiance are excited

ABSOLUTELY the 350 engine has a turbo! Diesels and turbos were almost invented for each other.
Should be nothing you have to worry about for cold weather starting. The computer is pretty smart about knowing what the engine temperature is and what the electronic start sequence should be along with the proper amount of fuel to inject and how many times in the injection cycle to inject it.

I've got the same winters as you and the diesel will fire with very little hesitation. I have keyless go and it is very hard to even notice a difference in the glow plug delay between cold and hot temp starts. I've also noticed that the hvac warms up the cabin faster than any car I've owned.

Also, read the posts about fueling the diesel. You should be able to get 29 gal+ at fill up. My service advisor confirmed that topping off was ok for the diesel.

Welcome to the club.

I'm looking at almost the same, but I need the bi-xenon lights.
