COMAND Bluetooth Trouble
Ever since I took my GL to the dealer for the service, my iPhone won't connect to the COMAND system automatically. For example, every time I got into the car, the phone would automatically sync to the Bluetooth. Now, when I get into the car, I get a message: "Ready for Bluetooth Telephony." I have to manually go into the phone menu and select my iPhone. After I do that manually, I can start dialing numbers. This is extremely frustrating as I like to go into my car and let my phone automatically sync to the Bluetooth. I told the dealer it happened after I got my service B but they said it works fine. I am so upset and can't believe they changed the Bluetooth settings! I don't want to enter my phone manually... Does anyone have any solutions? Two L.A. dealers say that the change in my COMAND is not covered under warranty and therefore, they are not doing anything about it. Please help me

Have you tried unpairing and re-pairing your phone to the blutooth system? Next step would be to uninstal, reset and reinstall the Bluetooth puck. We take it out any time the car is at dlr anyways.

I had the same problem after a dealer visit & a software update.
I ended up taking all 3 phones out of the comand & re-pairing them.
No problems anymore.

Ok so the BT still didn't work after I had the dealer update the software and repair the phones. Somehow, they temporarily fixed it, but it stopped working the following day. They tried flashing the unit, but that didn't work either. Then, the software was reinstalled twice, but to no avail. The dealer then connected my GL to another brand new 2011 MY GL and transferred the data, map software, and everything (they made a copy of the hard drive in the 2011 and put it on my COMAND). Sadly, the bluetooth was still messed up. Eventually, my dealer agreed to replace the hard drive of the
COMAND unit. The COMAND unit failed to recognize the new hard drive twice. Today,the dealer just replaced the total COMAND Unit. Hope it works... The GL ha been in the shop for 9 days. At least I have a beautiful Palladium Silver new ML350 BTC to drive as a loaner
