What differences should I expect?

I'm going from my faithful 07 450 to a 2011 450...... any thoughts on any major differences I'm going to see/feel, etc.? I'm sure they must have made some overall improvements!

Better command unit, bigger mirrors, more "color matched" molding in the back vs. black. If you got the RES the screens are different. Also I noticed my '11 the leather on the dash is smooth vs. pebbled. Also you will see individual tire pressures in the DIC. There is more, but those are what come to the top of my head at this second

P.S. Congrats on the GL!!

Thanks.... of all of those... the individual tire pressures and the the command unit were good candidates for improvement!! The 07 was a great vehicle for me......therefore, ordered the 2011 without even looking at one...... just assuming in the 4yrs they have made some improvements!

I think you might be getting variable ratio rack and pinion steering. If you don't have it now it will probably annoy you. Once you get used to it you'll probably find it helpful in urban areas. Your front wheels will turn faster at slower speeds and when making tight maneuvers than they do on your current GL. It makes parking and sharp turns easier by requiring less steering input but it takes some getting used to.

Ok....I had forgotten that one, but I do remember reading that someplace. That will make the vehicle a bit more "wife friendly" in my house!

All GLs up here have had "Parameter Steering" as standard. I can't imagine driving one without it! I'm surprised it's was not standard in the US, or came with some of the packages. If you did not have it, it is a treat, especially in town.
