NEW GL450!

Hey all, I'm not new to the forum, but new to the GL family.
Just took delivery yesterday or rather the dealer delivered the car to my home.
Basics are that it's an 11', P2, Appearance package, parktronic, lighting package and rear entertainment. One question is HOW DO YOU GET THE REAR DVD PLAYERS ON! I haven't dug into the books yet, but off hand it is not easy to figure out.

Congrats... looks like my 350... Anyways, for the rear seat entertainment, you need to use the remotes and select left / right and hit power on and then select the source you want it to play. Meaning, the AUX input, a DVD from the front drive or from the rear drive.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, it will try it when I get home. So you are saying that you can only put them on from the remotes? I was trying to get them on from the front screen and kept hitting dead ends. Very frustrating!

Yes - (from what I've found) they can only be turned on from the remotes. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong... LOL!

lol, no wonder why I was banging my head on that front screen! Got another one for you. Do you have a tip for programming the garage buttons? I have the type of system that I need to push the learn button on my motor. For some reason, I always have problems w/ the Benzes. My Porsche and past other makes have not been a problem to program.

Yeap - you need to first hold the two outer buttons until it flashes rapidly - this will erase everything. Then hold one of the buttons down which you want to program and then bring the garage door remote close to the mirror and keep pushing the button you want to learn with the button on the mirror HELD DOWN. You should see it start to blink slowly then go to a rapid flash once learned. Then, you need to hit the learn button on the garage motor end and then hit the button on the mirror which you want to assign to the door. REMEMBER YOU'LL NEED TO START THE CAR TO PROGRAM as it won't work in accessory mode.

You are the man nynd! I actually figured this out for myself before I logged on and you could not have described it better if I was still at a loss!

Thanks, not an order, went thru the dealer's inventory until it suited my needs. You always get the best deal on a dealer's inventory!
What options did you order?

Right you are, I dug into the book, etc., and that is the only way you can activate the reat units. Then you can control them from the front from there.
