No KD BOX for new Bluetec engines ;(

No KD BOX for new Bluetec engines ;(
Spoke to Kleemann and Brabus and none are making a power box for new bluetec engines (my 09-11). Cory at Kleemann emailed me the following after me asking him if there is a kd box for my 2011 GL350 Bluetec;
I'm afraid not, no. The ECU in the 2009+ Diesel cars is quite sophisticated- KLEEMANN has developed a KD-Box for these engines, however, the ECU knows it's there, and will slowly adapt to the KD-Box and bring power levels back to stock making the KD-Box worthless. It's proven to be highly difficult to get around, and a solution has not yet been found, which is why we are now offering ECU programming as the reliable alternative.
I'm fairly sure KLEEMANN has given up making a KD-Box for the 2009+ BlueTec cars at this point, so the only thing we can offer is the ECU flash...

BRABUS just released a tuning box for the S 350 BlueTEC. I emailed them about fitment on the SUVs; no response yet.

Weird i spoke to Brabus USA and was told same thing no tuning box for my 2011 bluetec engines... please do tell if you get any news from them

I received a call from BRABUS USA on Thursday; the rep is working with BRABUS AG to determine if the box for the S 350 will work on the SUVs, or if a SUV-specific box will be released.

Please let me know as soon as you find out im so ready to buy it even if Brabus box is more expensive than Kleemann. That engine moves the truck nicely but needs that little kick that the box would provide.

Does anyone have any experience or know anything about this DTK diesel tuning module? I have been eyeing this one for a while now but fail to find any feedbacks on them.

This is the response I got from BRABUS:
"We have just developed a BlueTEC engine upgrade for the G350 BlueTEC with 211 hp standard, which should be similar to the engine currently fitted in US models E350, GL350 and ML350 BlueTEC."
Update: I'm waiting on a timeframe for delivery, but estimated price is $2,500-$3,000.

Great, do you know what are the gains with brabus box . I also wonder what the quote "engine upgrade" means if its a ecu flash or a box that you hook up under the hood like the kd boxes for older diesels. Can you give the contact info with the person you deal in there. Thanx again.

info@brabus-usa.com is the email address - I was talking to Anthony. My understanding is that it's a plug-and-play module, not a flash. I didn't get the exact power numbers, but I assume they are similar to the S 350 BlueTEC.

Just reviving an old thread to see if there is an update here. I am looking at a CPO 10 ML bluetech PII package, 8k miles for 44k but will only buy it if I can get a tuner. If not I have found a CPO touareg V10 TDI, which while it doesn't need tuning, has many options for tuning.

I can't tell if you are being facetious about the V-Dub or the ML. I know the V10 V-Dub is finicky but it ain't gonna be a DD. I'm not sensitive either way but clarify please?

I thibut that companies make the box for 2010 diesel models but Mercedes did something to the computer in 11 that even if you put the power box in it will adapt and bring the power back to stock...
