Another Wheels and tires question

Hi... I'm planning to buy a used set of 22's and the spec is 22x10 et +55. And I'm planning to put on 305/40/22 tires. Will this set-up work with the GL450 without any issues?

Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I just read from another thread that my stock rims spec is 18x8 et 53, so after plugging in the nos it said that "Package is 22 mm (0.9'') closer to suspension/brakes components" Do you think it will have enough clearance?
Thanks again.

I think you shouldn't have any problem.

I have a 9.5 rim with at et48 offset with the same 305/40 22 tire.

based on your specs, using 101tires.com calculator...you will have 13mm less on the inside and be in 1mm more.

I think you will be fine. I have my gl lowered and I don't rub, so if you are at stock height, I would think you would be fine.

Worse case scenario, you can throw a 5 mm spacer on if you have any rubbing, which will probably only happen at full turn when backing up.

make sure you post pics.

good luck

hi kompressed one. your wheels look really good...few questions though

what offset are your alloys?

how do the tyres sit with regards to the wheelarch? do they sit flush or proud?

any chance you could post a pic up showing side profiles of front & rear wheelarches to show how tyre sits in relation?

thanks.

I just put these on my silver GL450 yesterday. They are 22"x10" ET 50 with 285/40R22 Yokahama Parada's. Nice smooth ride.

I have the exact same set from Jerry as well and went with 305/40/22 Yokohama Advan S/T. Originally was going with 285 Parada's like yours but got a killer deal for the Advan.

No, I used the sensors from my factory wheels. Local tire shop switched them out for me
