Congrats and enjoy, we are in our second week with it and still on our first tank of gas, very impressive for such a beast, nice color choice, looks like palladium that I got for my wife!

Did you order it? If so, how long did it take from date of order for it to arrive?
I ordered a 2011 GL350 BLUTEC in the Steel Grey about 3 weeks ago now.
I'm just waiting for it to arrive! Which should be another 2 months I'm guessing.

Your car looks beautiful and it's a shame we don't have AMG package in USA.

Why does it take so long to order the car ? Friend of mine ordered X5 and it took about 6 weeks to get it. What is wrong with MB, why can't they do it faster ?

No...They gave me a list of cars available in Eastern Region (4 cars) with options I wanted and I first signed for black/black car and it was on Saturday, but on Monday they said it's already gone, so I got this. Black was my wife’s choice, steel grey is mine. Sometimes I can get lucky J . I still had to wait 2 weeks for the car to be delivered in NYC. There is no Running Boards...I will need to install it soon. Dealer said it's about $1K parts and labor.

Congrats!! Looks really nice! I am still waiting for mine to come off the line..... supposedly the 19th of this month! Obsidian Black over Cashmere. They say delivery 1st week of May (probably!)

Is there a reason why USA doesnt get the AMG sports package? Thats a real shame, nevertheless, you dont have to sacrifice the harsh ride in sport mode with the big wheels/tires that I noticed at times, on the rough pavement I leave it in comfort mode on the suspension setting. I also admire the rear moon roof, it gives it a little light back there.

Enjoy your ride. Into my first month. I am glad I didn't buy Infinity or Lexus. Some time feels uncomfortable when people are staring at your vehicle.

Thank you all for warm welcome. The car is amazing. I'm still exploring and researching a lot of new stuff. Even my wife, who was afraid of a big size at first, likes it to drive, so I quess I'm not gonna drive it as a DD

I am also happy with my 8 day old 350. Over the weekend I was tooling down the highway, flicking through the info screens and saw all 4 tires at a nice round 50psi! That explains why the ride was more harsh than ii remembered during the test drive. Much better now...

Drone Mobile lets me remote start, GPS track my vehicle. I thought it was better to pay for this than MBRACE. Live in Fargo( voted worst weather city in US, expecting 4-8" inches snow tonight), nice to remote start from my office in our winters here.

Yes, you need a remote starter put in first. I had SmartStart module installed. It works with your factory remote(pressing panic button for a second starts the vehicle, pressing and holding panic button works in panic mode). Drone Module attaches to the SmartStart Module, and allows the car to be started through smart phone app. Again, no hard wiring, doen not void warranty,installed by most of the dealers, and can be switched on or off. Smart phone app has a passcode lock, so you are still safe if you loose your phone. Works flawless with KeyLessGo.
Decided to forgo 3 Zone climate controll, heated rear seats and get this instead. Does the same job.

I've had previous starters put in. Cost me 1500 in my RRS, but I'm in the north as well. Smart module, is there a lot of wiring to that as in other starters? That would be cool not to have to have a separate key fob.

As far as I know it does not need much wiring, but I am not an expert. Check this link
