please help (first time poster)
hi there,
i picked up my 2011 GL450 lease today, while surrendering my old 2009 GL450.
I made the mistake of not checking the car before signing the papers and gave in my car.
I was SHOCKED to find out that the keyless go and the premium sound system by Harman Kardon that were part of premium package 1 on my 09 GL450 were now omitted from the package and now i'm stuck with a vehicle
that has no keyless go and it makes me sick (the downgraded stereo is somewhat less of a biggie for me).
I'm so bent out of shape over it, i don't know what to do...is there a way to add keyless go on an already built car>? I'm used to never needing to take the key out of my pocket and now i got to actually use it! sorry for *****ing but i didn't expect to downgrade with the newer YM and same equipment package.
another question, isn't is customary to deliver a new lease with a tank full of gas? i know gas isn't cheap anymore but for god's sake don't send me off the lot on empty!

I feel your pain, but cannot say that any model year has gone by where the packages and options have remained the same. Did you order this vehicle over the phone and not speak at all with the salesman regarding content?
Again, sorry you do not have KG, but in 07 it was a separate option, then it got moved to P1, then to P2, and so forth.
Money can make anything happen but for the amount you'd spend to add it, you might as well trade the car.

First, be happy you don't have the HK. It was a must take in Canada in 2008, and it sounds bad. Very overprocessed sounding, and tiring on the ears.
As far as keyless go goes, it would not be a big deal to me, but seems to be for you. Did you not have to start it to get off the lot? Did they just pull it up running? Did you say something like "I want all the same features" or something to your salesman? Some of this could help you out. There is a chance they could get you something else and move your over to someone internally as a demo. Long shot, but worth a try.

Strange - why don't you just disable the LOGIC7 option in the COMAND, and you'll be back to baseline (with a couple extra speakers)?

Why didn't you drive right back and tell them you are OUT!! Demand that you were duped into thinking the packages weren't the same and your sales person didn't do a very good job of explaining the changes............a good dealer would tear up the paperwork and get you into the right truck. Especially on the same day.
