Fans running after switching off engine
Hello y'all, brand new GL owner here (actually a first time MB buyer)...
I got it delivered yesterday and today after a brief ride (approx 15 miles), I parked it in my garage.
Noticed that the 'fans' in the engine were running quite loudly even after turning off the engine and locking it.
The fans were running for approx 10 minutes and auto shut off after that.
I am not sure what's going on. Any thoughts?
TIA

Having the fans run after engine cut-off is pretty common to cool things down a bit, but I wonder if the water pump runs too?

Check your AC resid button to see if it was on (red light). This feature runs the HVAC in the vehicle after engine shut down, using residual engine heat (useful if waiting in the car and don't want to run the engine). I noticed this noise when I would park my GL550 in the garage and would come back 15 mins later. Turn it off, no more fan noise.
