I ordered a 2011 GL350 with a build date of June 15th. I was advised by my dealer I could change my 2011 GL350 to a 2012 GL350 with a build date of September or early October.
Does anyone know if there any changes in pricing from the 2011 GL350 plus options to the 2012? Historically what are the price increases over the last three years?

I just bought a 2011 4 days ago. The dealer said that he will honor whatever price I decide on the 2011 for a similarly spec'd 2012, but I will have to give a deposit and wait till August/Sept.
I opted for the 2011, since I wanted it now.

When I ordered my 2011 GL350 I gave the dealer a $5,000.00 cashiers check so a deposit isn't an issue but I would like to know if there will be any price increases for the 2012 GL350 and their options?
Additionally, has anyone heard of a large rebate or incentive for August on the remaining 2011 GL's?

Usually MB gives incentive when they need to move the car out of the dealer's lots. There is no need to do it in GL350 case. It simply not on the lots almost anywhere and you have to wait 1-2 weeks for car to be delivered from some other place. That was my story when I bought mine about 1 month ago. There were 4-5 cars available with P2 package in NorthEast region with my configuration ( nothing special ) and about 40 cars with P1.

The diesel's price has gone up $1500 -$2000 a year since 2007.

Inventories are tight depending on color. I took delivery on a steel grey/ash gl350 last week. 2 different dealers mentioned a parts supply disruption from Japan as the cause for low inventories. There were only 1 in the northeast close to the configuration I wanted. The next one was availible end of June.

True. My buddy in St.Petersburg, FL says that the dealers there do not have any diesels in stock and are taking orders for July delivery.
BTW, they are only selling on MSRP!!
