Trouble Shifting into gear
2008 GL-450
Our GL has started to not shift out of park in the morning. If you play with it for 5 to 10 minutes, it will finally shift into gear and it seams to work for the rest of the day. Yesterday, after finally getting it into Drive, it would not shift to N , R , or P. When I got it home, removing the key put it into Park. I am thinking that this points to the Gear Selector. Any of you had this problem????

Probably a bad contact in the switch or frayed wire/wiring issue? There are a couple inputs I think it also looks for (like to makes sure all doors are closed) before it allows you to shift into a gear position other than park. My guess... anyways.
