YYZ, that is one heck of a good-looking GL!! Love the colour and the subtle additions you made. The meaty AMG steering wheel is beautiful especially with the square bottom (may be just my eyes). Sweet!! 
Which LED license bulbs did you use? I have changed almost all bulbs on my GL to LED's and the only thing that give me the error msg were the two license plate bulbs. The only bulbs I haven't change are the front turn signals but I finally got amber LED's for them as well as load resistors to prevent hyper flashing and error. Will install them soon...crossing fingers.
(btw, didn't know you have the gl, always knew you have ml and e)

I've got the error messages - I've tried two different sets but both throw error codes. Working with an eBay vendor to try to resolve the issue. Frustrating, but I love the look!!

Oh I've tried numerous bulbs too and I have given up. Very strange. Even the LED sidemarkers/blinkers didn't throw the error code. Anyway, keep me posted on LP issue with your new vendor.

I have to say your GL looks amazing! I love the GL 550 rims on the 450.
Just wondering........Has anyone ever tried to put a strip of amber (orange) leds in the turn signal place in the headlights?? If you guys know how it looks in the 2010 and newer S Classes you'll know it looks good.....i think someone here on the forum should give it a try and put a strip in both headlights.
I think i will try to open up my headlights and see if its difficult to install it in terms of space.

I just ignore my e-codes on my LED license plate lights. I get e-codes with my trailer hitch center mounted brake/signal light as well. I can live with them to have a DTM style rear brake light for added safety.

Now, modifying the headlight assembly to put the LED strip in would be a great idea and project. For now, I'm resorting to putting in amber LED bulbs.
