I had to change my command unit but now the back up camera does not work. I bought the unit used on ebay. Everything else works fine. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

PLug the camera video feed into a monitor and check to see if it is indeed putting out video. If not, then check the power supply to the camera. If the power supply is good, and no vide is coming out... time to replace the camera. Make sure NOT to buy and CMOS cameras for the many reasons we have covered elsewhere in the forum. Only use CCD cameras. If this is a factory camera, it is CCD.

Thank you for the response. I am sure my camera is working. Could the problem be the new command unit. It appears that it did not come from a car with camera.

Yes, it may need to be programmed to turn the camera on

msarlak1, on the command unit, go to the settings and try to reset everything....(you'll loose your radio pre-programings...my navigation was acting up, the map was flipped upside-down. I reset-teted it and it works fine. Have a good weekend!
