Long story short: I live in Europe and own and american '08 GL. Nothing (satnav, radio) works as it should and I've been told that the only way is to change the Command to an EU one. I recently found relatively cheap Command units on Ebay.co.uk and was wondering: Can I replace my Command system with a post-face-lift unit (HDD, 6 DVD changer, SD slot) or should I go for the old system? I have the glove box CD changer, and was wondering how would it work if there is a built in one in the unit?

 

It may work just fine but I'm sure you would have to get a dealer to 'adapt' the replaced unit once it is installed.
