Selling my MY10 GL350
I am considering selling my 2010 GL350 (P2, Parktronic, Running boards, Lighting package, Rear entertainment, Tow hitch, Wood/leather steering wheel, Artic white/charcoal tex, 20K miles and 1 year remaining on pre-paid maintenance). Does anyone have any sales comps to base pricing? Thanks.

how about a 2007 CDI, loaded with everything (real leather) except distronic. Thinking of selling. Have 2 plus years of warranty left, purchased at purchase.

I just found a 2011 GL350 Bluetec dealer demo with 5K miles on it for $12K off sticker. I can also get a 2011 with no miles for $6,500 off sticker. It seems like the dealers are giving them away. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger

Sold it. I wanted to sell before I needed to replace the four runflat tires. Without taxes and registration I calculated a 91% resale value.

Sorry, it doesn't show the price based on your mileage. Look at the first attachment from this thread and you will see the minimum price on Manheim for 2010 BlueTec was $50,600...so I think your dealer is joking giving you $48K. Of course it depends on car condition and options.
The best price you will get if you sell to private party ( I'm sure you know that).
The lowest price on internet I could find for the car like yours is $58K.

Good Luck.

I wonder what the new GL (X166) will do for prices of current GLs, especially if they are offered with the new engines (recently released 4.6T, upgraded 3.0T BTC, and possible 5.5T AMG and 3.5 CGI)?

I don't understand why the deisels have such a high resale value, yet you can get a nice deal on a new one. I'm picking up a brand new 2011 GL350 for 10% off sticker this week. I looked at pre-owned ones and the prices didn't make sense to buy used - they seem to hold their value very well.

I'm told that dealers/sellers are holding out for exporters for the Chinese and Russian markets, where they can go for as much as $80-85K used.

I was just going to post this. I just signed the papers on a new GL350, and I had to sign a form stating that I will not export the car. He told me the Russians and Chinese send people over here to scour the used car market and there is especially high demand for deisels. That explains the high resale value.

My 2010 GL350 39 months lease ends 2013 Feb with a buyback option for $33.5k and estimated milleage would be 35k. With the high resale prices for GL350, I am thinking to buy it back at lease end and resale. Question: what would be the best way to resale and get the most if possible with least hassle? Will selling back to dealer a good option?

Thank you so much.

Here are the stats: 39 months lease. leased on 11/2009 after returning 3 months early on 2007 GL450. selling price $60k with premium 1 package & partronic. Amount due at signing $7118, Base Monthly payment $746 + $60 use taxes = $807. A friend of mine just recently checked out 2012 GL350 and told me was offered better lease with $100 lower payment per month.
