Should I trade 2011 GL350

We bought our GL 3 months ago. We happened to stop in a dealer who had a "new" program GL350 with 8k miles. It had everything I wanted (arctic white, hitch, P2, lighting, parktronic) and some options I didn't mind (leather, rear entertainment, running boards). I had some things I wanted that it didn't have (rear climate control, rear heated seats, blind spot assist, ADS), but we got a good deal and it seemed like a no-brainer.

Having lived with it, I'm growing tired of my kids complaining about the temperature in the back. It's been too hot/cold on very many occasions in a short period of time, and I'm anticipating much more when the weather turns cold.

I started making calls to some dealers to see what I might be looking at. The MSRP on ours was over 75k; the same one with the added options would come out just over 79k. I think I'd do it if they'd take my car and about 10-12k.

Questions - Anyone with rear climate control see a huge difference?
- think I could get this deal?

During peak summer, we lived in the Miami area .. and kids/adults never complained about lack of AC in the rear (we don't have rear climate control).

Not sure about lack of heat, since we are yet to see colder temps, but we are now in Central Illinois... and this winter will be the real test of our new GL without rear climate...

We also have a 2011 GL350 and before that a 2008 GL320. Never any complaints from the 08 from the rear passengers - kids or adults and so far no complaints in the 2011 either. We do not have the rear climate package. Hopefully no complaints this winter

Just FYI - rear climate control only adds an additional AC unit and allows for a third temperature zone; it does not add another heater.

Make sure that the red light on the button (under the A/C button) is not on. It allows for more airflow to the rear. I initially had the problem of rear passengers complaining about lack of rear air flow. I, too, do not have the rear climate control option.
