I don't think GL350 BlueTec will have any incentives at all.

The GL350's are selling relatively well from what I've heard. You're not going to see anywhere near 10,000 as an incentive. I talked to my dealer this weekend, and I was told that the Bi-Xenon lights should be coming in December. So until then, I wait...lol. I thought that Mercedes would take care of this production issue promptly instead of making customers wait for their vehicle months on end.

Any updates on the shortage of Bi-Xenon lighting for 2012 GL'S? Any idea when these vehicles will be shipped to customers in California?

I do not think that the Bi-Xenons for the ML/GL/C will be avalible untill after december. MB is switching suppliers, therefore everything is back ordered untill December-jan. that's why my ML (with the lighting package) is back ordere

With Bi-Xenon lighting being supplied with a new supplier and delivery in late December or January I wonder if my ordered 2012 Gl's is produced and waiting for the Bi-Xenon lights to be installed or if my vehicle has been placed on hold? I really want my 2012 GL350 delivered since I have been waiting for this vehicle since September and wonder if this is an option the dealer can install after delivery?

Well the dealer can install anything....but for a hefty price tag. When I got my 2010 GL450, the dealer "forgot" to add the lighting package. So I got 2k taken off extra. So I installe the Bi-Xenons myself. It cost about $80+/-.

And a few days ago I saw LED's on eBay for sale for $215.00 shipped. So I bought them. And the only thing he didn't have was the black plastic surrounds. I ordered them from the dealer. And I posted a thread about it. Check it out. I spent about $320 on the LED project. When I install them I will update my thread.

But if I were you I'd just go and get your GL now and do the lighting package yourself. Your dealer will take about $2k to install it for you.

Well with Christmas approaching and no word from Mercedes on their Bi-Xenon lighting issue I'm wondering if there is going to be a 2012 GL350 under the Christmas tree for my wife?

Does anyone have an answer regarding the back ordered Bi-Xenon lighting package for factory ordered vehicles and when production will resume?

Hi!
I was getting my '10 GL serviced today, and I asked my sales guy about the Xenons for the 2012 ML, and he said that they should arrive in late December, like 2-3 days before new years. But most likely January.

What I plan on doing is waiting for the ML to come in(a fully loaded one) and about after 2-3weeks when they've driven it a bit, tell them to give me a better price since they've driven a bit.

When the dealer got my GL in, they noticed that they "forgot" the lighting package. So I told them the only way I'd take it was if they took 3k extra off of the already negotiated price. So all in all, I ended up installing a HID kit, and put the LED's in. Looks like OEM.

I ordered my GL350 (w/the BiXenon headlamps) in late September, and as of 2 weeks ago I was still on track for a "production date the week of Dec 1st"...and also on-track for pickup before the end of the year. I will call my dealer later this week to find out an update. The wait is tough...

KBRIGGS82, your dealer should be able to give you more information. I was given a "production date" about a month ago, and this schedule seems to have been kept. I have some hope it will be ready for pickup next week...we'll see...

So I finally picked up my GL350 2 days ago. The car is absolutely gorgeous. The bi-xenon headlights are awesome!. It was well worth the wait. I'm very good with electronics and controls, but this car has way more customizable controls than I could have imagined, which I love. I will have to get some good pics to post soon.

I am a 2012 GLK350 owner with the Bi-Xenon Lighting/Headlamp Washer Package. Can you tell me how the headlamp washer system on your 2012 GL350 functions please?

Thanks!

I haven't tried it yet, but I did read in the manual yesterday that if you activate the windshield washer washer system 5 or 6 times, it will then activate the headlamp washer system...then the counter resets.
I hope that works!

The one thing I can't figure out is why the owners manual does not fit into the glove compartment...

Thanks. In the GLK the wait for headlamp washing is the 10th squirt of the windshield washer. Strange!
LOL! Our manual library doesn't fit in our glove box either. There is a net holder on the left side of the passenger footwell that accomodates the manuals.

That is where I put it and I think it's designed for it.

I also have it there now, but wish I could put it in the glove box.

Another odd question (don't think its serious enough for a new thread), the underside of the armrest looks like its designed to hold something. At first I thought it would be the remote control for the video system, but no good. Is it simply for some documents or papers??

Me, too.

I put it in the passenger side door pocket. No one ever uses that, anyway.
