Run Flat suck...and I'm glad they listened to people and got rid of them on new ML.
Can't agree on Comand comment. It's probably not the best system, but when I've tried IDrive in my X5 - that was very inconvenient to use compared to MB Comand. I like how system works in E-class, so I think it'll be okay in new GL also. I'm sure new model will be better than current one.
I remember when I saw new 2010 E-class - I thought it's the ugliest car I've ever seen. But now everybody ( including me) likes it and I look forward to the end of my lease to get a new 2012-13 model.

I'm thinking I'm going to skip the RSE and put a couple of Kindle Fires in the back seat. Proclips doesn't have a mount for them yet, but I expect it won't be long.

So in other words, the Command system will continue to suck. That is a major disappointment I have with my 2011 GL350 - the other being the run flat tires. Otherwise I am quite pleased with the vehicle- especially with the fuel economy of the diesel.
The new ML Bluetec moved the Adblue filler right next to the gas filler, so I assume the 2013 GL350 will do the same. I guess that will mean real tires for the new model instead of run flats. But if the Command system is as clunky as the current model, I've got no reason to upgrade.

Don't like the new design at all (judging by the posted link). Still having a hard time getting used to the new ML. If the GL is going to look anything close to that, I'm happy I have the 11 MY. Based on the cammo pictures floating around, it should be pretty close on what the new GL will look like though. I'm not digging it! 
As far as the Command: I don't like the fact that you always have to reach to the centre console to navigate it. That is on the current GL. They had the stupid Joystic in the past, which was horrible. But the updated version isn't much better. I've gotten so used to the control knob on my E63 and my X5 by the armrest, that whenever I drive the GL, I find myself reaching there, but not finding it... :roll eyes: As far as functionality, we'll leave it alone. We all agree that Mercedes is way behind of their competition. I recently rented the new Audi A8 during my last trip to Germany. I really liked their system. So much more advanced.

The rear's sweeping pontoon fenders look as goofy on this GL as on MBZ's current E Class Cabriolet , IMO.
Unfortunately the pic looks pretty real, as no photo shopper would put all those sweeps/swirls as seen on the side of this vehicle .

MB brings CKD (Completely knocked Down) kits and SKD (Semi knocked down kits) and assembles a small fraction of their vehicles in India.
Everything else is shipped from Motherland.
