Occasional pull to the right

Over the last two days, I am observing my 2011 BlueTec will (occasionally) pull strongly to the right...

This is on roads that I have driven for the last 6 months, so the terrain is familiar.

For e.g., on a straight stretch at 45 mph, if I let go of the steering, the truck will slowly go to the right and then keep pulling to the right pretty strongly!

This only happens about 30% of the time .. .and not always.

Wonder what's going on

I would check simple things first, tire pressure, tire condition especially the right one. My guess is your front right tire is under inflated.

Sorry I just saw your 30% part. Does it happen during braking?

All tires have the same pressure (33 psi). The truck is fine during breaking.
It is only when cruising it happens.

I will now keep a log of when this happens and take it to the dealer.

It could be a sticky brake on the right side.

I am having the same problem with a 2011 GL450. The dealer has already aligned it 3 times. We had the same damn issue with the previous 2007 GL450. Sadly, Mercedes is going down hill.

Fortunately, after some episodes, I am yet to see this behavior for some time... Either the issues have 'self corrected' or this is merely the 'eye of the hurricane' passing over me

Just hit up the dealer im sure they know what to do. Tell them to do a complete rebalance on all 4 tires and alignment. Im sure they would do it for free.

They did it for me on my old GLK and my GL.
