GL 350 US version - anyone can help changed dvd region code to run on Europe navi

I have brought a GL 350 (7/2009 model) back from the US after having spent about 5 years in California. To my surprise no MB dealer wanted to change the region on the dvd player so I can not use the European Navigation DVD.

Can anyone help?
I am not a re-seller of cars

Hi,

I was planning to bring my 2008 GL 320 to Germany this year. Still might do it! According to my information, changing the region code is not going to help you. The European nav system uses completely different satellites, and you need to replace the entire US COMAND unit with the Euro model.

My shipper recommended the firm "Westcoast Classics" in Schwarme, near Bremen. I have not worked with them, but would certainly give them a call to get definitive answers:

Herr Wehlers (Tel.04258-983277) westcoast2003@gmx.net

If I remember correctly, the official reinstallation cost a total of 3.500 EUR. I did see some Euro COMAND units on eBay for about 1.000 EUR. Good luck!
