Help! 450 Says the Hood Is Open
My 450 has suddenly decided that the hood is open when I drive, bit it's not. Anyone have any idea how to clear the fault or turn off the LOUD alarm? What fuse could I pull to defeat this?

I had this issue when my R was delivered (used) off the truck. The dealer simply needed to adjust the hood latch and it stopped giving the error. The issue with mine was that it was removed at some point and reinstalled incorrectly even though when loading it onto the truck it wasn't giving the alarm.

I would think that there is not one dedicated fuse that you could pull - just take it to the dealer to have it adjusted / replaced.

The problem has been resolved in the short term by removing the connection to the switch under the driver's side hood latch that indicates that the hood is open. Apparently the microswitch has failed and goes to ground indicating a fault state regardless of the hood position.
