Looking to purchase 2008 GL550 - Good decision?
Never owned german SUVs due to the issues that come with the parcel so looking for some opinion. Just sold my 08 GX470 that never had any issues and looking to purchase either a 2008-09 GL550 or 2008-09 Lexus LX570. LX is reliable hands down but was wondering if MB has improved at all with the GL?

The improvements have been huge but there are still a few issues. I've had to replace two air struts and a few other minor bits and pieces. Overall, it is a huge improvement over the 2003 CL600 I had prior. I've driven 117,000+ miles on my GL450 so far.

i own a 08 GL550 which I am trading next month for the 2013. I have 70k on it, i have only needed to service the car every 13,000 with the exception of a leak in the power steering which was covered by warranty. HIghly recommended.
