Starting to mod my gl550 and have some issues.

Hi all,

Im fairly new to the board. Im trying to convert my foglights to LED's, already have the part, what I can't find is the wiring harness of current fogs?

If anyone can help me out, I will greatly appreciate it.

it wont shine well, the leds will disperse light everywhere and not focus it to reflect off the reflector at the right place. this will be especially bad in actual fog if you ever need it.
its basic optics 101. leds wont work don't waste your time.

this. leds = high frequency

(high) water (content in air like when there is fog or it rains/snows) and high frequency = lots of reflections and dispersion = bad idea

there is a reason why fog lights are low frequency yellowish lights and never hids/leds. the same reason subs communicate with very low frequency radios vs traditional high frequency radios

hope this made sense

I want to do the same thing as the 2012 DRL's I won't use them as dogs any more. Anyhow I just the location of the harness for the fogs do I have to remove the front bumper to locate it?

I've never seen much advantage of foglights in fog when the low beams are on anyways. The fog lights just get everything down on the road level a little brighter. I see no difference in eye level reflection, or increased danger or lack of vision. Probably 10x more important than foglights is just slowing down and being alert.

Bulis550 - I have a work around if you need one, you can PM me.
