Starting the Search: GL Diesel
got it for 7K off sticker.
I agree with gentleman who stated that buying new is the better option.
ad blue is so easy and inexpensive (once a year fill up of 7 gallons which cost about $35 at auto zone $10 for 2.5 gallon container) so the expense is a non issue.
also, u can usually find zero % financing or 1.9% thru MB.
drive a brand new GL for three years with no headaches or big expenses due to warranty if you decide to sell, you will probably net less of a cost and you will have driven a new vehicle rather than a 5 yr old hand me down with the risk of a costly repair.
just a thought.

This is going to be my trailer towing, Animal rescue hauling, Honda Pilot replacement.
So rather than a new Pilot for $35k to $40K, I will get a 4 year old GL for $25K to $30K, pocket the difference (Getting 1.99% to 2.24% financing from the credit union), and in 4 or 5 years own it outright for the remaining 4 or 5 years.

About 3 hours too late, but I am sure you will have no problem getting a fair price.
If all goes well, I will be picking up a 2008 P2 with Keyless Go, and a hitch Monday a week. (In FL).
If the deal falls through, I will be back on the hunt.

Just when I put my offer in on one, that is just about exactly what I want (Except a few more miles)
Another pops up with a few less options, but is local, and at the MB Dealer I have bought from (hopefully helping get a better price.
It has a few less miles (Good), but also does not have rear AC, Xenon lights, Keyless-Go, and is in a color I don't like quite as much.
All that aside, seems the miles are the biggest plus.
The lower mileage car is a IL car and the higher mileage is a FL car.
Since I plan to keep the GL a long time, how many would worry about long term durability and rust issues with a northern car, vs, an FL car?
It's my wife's DD, running kids and groceries to and fro without a hiccup. And on the occasional weekend, it's my tow vehicle for my race car. It's a really light load (1,500 lb. race car, and about a 750 lb. open trailer). I can get 21 MPG towing (24-25 MPG otherwise). In addition to a nice, torquey motor, the GL has huge brakes -- both great attributes for towing. The 2007/8 had a nasty navigation system.

This is one of the reasons I am looking for '07 and '08 only.

- after 10 times your car will not start and error message will be displayed on the screen. People say even after you add it - you still have to go to MB dealer to get rid of that message. ADblue cost about $30 in Autozone and it's very easy job to do, no need to go to MB where they charge about $100.

I heard there was a limp-home mode it would run in, but I am just repeating without knowing.
