The DVD player on my 2008 GL450 keeps saying disk error even on brand new DVD's, any advice?

 

Is this in the Comand unit or the Rear Seat Entertainment?

OK, I had that situation in the Comand unit, wouldn't read the navigation disc or another other disc. Mine unfortunately was a catastrophic failure.

Can you hear the disc spinning when you insert it? You might try a DVD cleaner and see if that makes a difference.
