Airmatic Malfunction warning on my 2009 GL450

Airmatic Malfunction warning on my 2009 GL450
I have been having the malfunction warning with the upward arrow on and off for a few weeks. I have taken in several times to the dealership and they say they have fixed it. Well it keeps on happening, I took it in a couple of days ago and the service rep says that after doing more research he thinks that the aftermarket HID lamps installed are emitting a very high EMF and causing the airmatic to fail. I dont buy it, but he charged me $125 to remove the lamps and rerun daignostics to see if that is the problem. Anyone have any experience with this, or any advice?

I had the same prolem a few months ago and I didn't have the aftermarket HID at the time (during summer time I took HID out as there was no need for them and they sometime threw left/right lamp errors..)..

So funny... my wife reported the same error yesterday! I changed one of the HID ballast and it went away! I guess it IS the aftermarket HID..
