GL450 2007 Installation AM DVD headrests
Hello everyone
I am new here I was wondering that you can help me with a problem that I have. I purchased after market head rest with DVD players I got all the way to installing it. Got out the stock head rest but I am looking at it and I see that there is a cable going to one of the posts
Question I have
Does anyone know what is it for ?

E55, GLS450, GL63, GLE350
May be part of the active restraint system. If so, you purchased the wrong kit. You need one with seperate screens that mount behind the stock headrest.

If there's a cable coming out of the headrest post it is part of the Pre Safe system. If the car senses a collision is imminent, a small airbag light explosive within the headrest is activated and makes the headrest come forward to prevent whiplash.
