GL550 Need Service History Check
Hi All,
I have been a member and lurking and researching awhile on here, but have not made many posts. Now am looking at purchasing a used 2008 GL550 in Cubanite Silver. Originally a Canadian market car and is now registered in Switzerland where the owner currently resides and I have just relocated there.
Can anyone help to run the VIN #4JGBF86E68A376129 for its service history? I have tried here but the Mercedes dealer here cannot access US/Canada service databases. I would be very grateful if someone here is able to do this for me.
Also, any service/technical bulletins issued in 2008/2009 would also help enormously.

unless you know what dealer the car has been serviced at you will not obtain meaningful info as dealers exchange only very limited information. the only "full record" of what has been done to the car is at the dealer the work has been performed.

Today I went over to view the car. It is glorious car in the flesh so to speak. It does have a full Mercedes service history as I checked all the paperwork and bills. Looks like a well maintained family car.
Need to do a carfax though.
The test drive ... WOW such a solid car and it feels smaller than the real size that it is. Had a slight vibration, but ever so slight. I think this is down to the finished front tyres and the brake rotors. The rotors totally consumed with a very predominant lip on the edge and possibly slightly warped, but under braking it felt fine.
What is the full cost for replacing 4 rotors and pads in parts and labor?
The bodywork had a couple of stone chips to the front hood, some minor scratches, a very minor scuff on the lower front nearside bumper that I think can be easily re-painted or buffed in.
I have made a preliminary offer today subject to verification of the Carfax report, further local checks with the Merc garage, and getting my finance in order for the purchase. Otherwise, it look like I found quicker than expected as I only started searching the past month. Oh, I also need to green light from the other half.
