iphone 4s issue with gl450

Is it an iPod adapter plug (the wide skinny one) or the mini headphone jack (aux)? My 08 Gl550 has the iPod integration kit and it works on both my iPod touch and iPhone 4S, but it doesn't charge the phone. So I keep my touch in the glove compartment hooked up. If I want to listen to pandora or MOG through my phone I use the aux cable. Both play through the aux input on my radio, but the iPod integration plug overrides the mini headphone so I have to unplug he iPod to play the iPhone.

Don't know about the op's issue, but you can buy a $15 adapter that will charge your iphone 4 through the iPod integration. All it does is provides charging power to different pins (non-USB power pins the newer apple devices use). Older apple devices used the regular USB charging pins, apple Ofcourse changed that.
