leaking shock

As seems to be the norm for our GL, something has broken on a Friday before a holiday weekend. This time a shock is leaking resulting in a sagging left front corner. Once the car is off, you can hear it leaking and it probably takes 4-5 minutes to fully sink. With the car running, the shock reinflates and the car is at normal ride height.

Once they start leaking, do they get worse rapidly to the point that the compressor can't keep up, or do they stay like mine currently is for awhile? I won't be able to get it fixed until after the weekend, and wasn't planning stay home all weekend. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You might burn up the compressor. Avoid driving until fixed.

Made it through the weekend. For whatever reason, it didn't leak/sag every time the engine was turned off. Sometimes it sank and other times it didn't. We cancelled our planned longer trip, but still drove around town for the weekend without incident. I didn't really care about the compressor since that would have just been one more item for MB to fix, but I didn't want to have a "hellaflush stanced" vehicle far from home if it did fail.

Took it in this a.m. and will be getting new front shocks tomorrow. That CPO warranty just keeps giving and giving. It must be closing in on $15K of repairs so far.
