Bluetooth streaming GL450
Hi,
I have seen this asked earlier, but haven't seen an answer yet. I just bought a used 2010 GL450. My first Mercedes and and it is awesome! After I set up Bluetooth, the iPhone 4S connects fine, but can't play music over the speakers. How do I enable it?
I looked at this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...ring-mode.html , and entered engineering mode using End Call + 6 + #. But there are no options for enabling BT streaming. There is a BT 1:initialize option under Bluetooth, but not sure what it will do so haven't tried it. Can someone assist?

I had a 2011 GL450 and the version of COMAND didn't support Bluetooth audio streaming. I went through Engineering Mode and could not enable it. I tried third party pucks and such with no luck. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to make any of the 2011 and older models take advantage of BT audio. As a side note, my wife's 2010 E350 was supposed to have the ability with a COMAND update, and the dealer couldn't get hers to work either. Solved both problems by buying new 2013 ML550 and E350 - works great now! Good luck!

No need to buy a 2013 model to have BT streaming... From what I have read, in this and other forums all you need is a small device attached to the iPod plug in the glove compartment and you are set. Ask your dealer, it is called Media Interface Plus. Then your phone hooks up to that little device via BT. Costs a couple of hundred bucks i think at the dealer. If they tell you to buy a 2013 to get BT tell them "bull" and never go back there again. The only reason I don't have is that my GL450 is not my daily driver and don't have need for BT streaming.
