2011 GL-350 More Charging - Less Driving?
I used to drive my diesel pretty regularly till now... but since I have started a consulting job, I travel pretty much every week (Mon-Fri)... so, I get to drive the truck only during the weekend on short errands (40-60 miles).
Question:
If I am using the truck only during the weekends, on short errands, is it OK if I keep it charged during the week (I have the MB battery charger) and drive it sparingly?
I reckon the charger will not overcharge the battery, but I am also thinking of putting the charger on a timer, which will switch on the charger for 45 minutes everyday.
Is this a good idea?
TIA

Yep, will keep it plugged in..
BTW, will the diesel engine be affected by casual 'weekend only' driving? I am no 'engine' guy, but I heard that diesels go 'bad' if not driven regularly?
