Hello,

This is my first post! I've been very frustrated with my GL 420. It sometimes would start, I just get this clicking noise and that's it. I've had it checked over by the garage and they say the battery is fine and the starter is ok.

Does anyone else have any ideas? By the way I have bought a new battery and it still does it!

Clean/ check terminal wires where they connect to the battery. What you describe is very typical. Check also where the the wire enters the main fuse block.

It not that, have your starter relay replaced. They do go bad.
