another outlet

Riding Donkeys,

You will find another 12/20a outlet in the passenger footwell, under the glovebox on the upper lefthand side. I love this location for accessories. New 166 does not have this outlet now.

2008 GL 320 CDI
I have a 2008 GL 320 with 170,000 mile and still loving it. Yes we have had some small issues door handles, rear lift gate. While vehicle was under warranty two air compressors have been replaced - Mercedes said they fixed the underlining issue (I don't remember what it was). I have gone 120,000 miles since the last replacement. I've replaced right front air shock and other than that...knock on wood we’re good. I do all my own oil changes and fuel filter changes. I replaced the front shock with the neighbor’s air tools. Oh...did I say I was a Girl!!! My philosophy…worst case scenario I have to hire a mechanic if I cannot complete the job.

Great to hear!

I bought mine with a little under 100K and the plan is to run it to at least 200K.

Stories like yours give me confidence!

2011 GL450
12v power up front

on my 2011 Gl450, there is a 12v outlet just under the passenger side glove compartment to the left. You can easily see it when you open the passenger side door and peek under the glove compartment.

Congrats on the new GL450. I used to have a 1998 TJ Sahara and can't believe that weak engine got about the same MPG as this GL450. Not that the GL get's good mileage, but the Jeep was horrible for the weight and size of the vehicle. I think its probably because Wranglers have the aerodynamics of a parachute!
