We have a 2008 GL320 CDI and the moldings at the top of the door (bottom of window) are peeling.

1. Where can I get a good deal on replacements?
2. Should I replace with chrome to update the look?

Additionally, the back gate will not open unless the inside latch is released. Simple fix, or trip to the dealer?

Any help is appreciated.

 

Common problem on the molding. I am going to order some of these to cover them.

The dealer quoted $1,059 to replace.

 

This problem was brought up on a previous thread. On my 07, after the clear film has flaked off completely, you are left with a dullish black moulding trim that doesn't look terrible. Save your money...
