I am wondering if it is possible to fix air compressor that failed. I replaced mine to new one but looking at the compressor I thought it cannot be complex part. Did anyone tried to repair it? Any success? Thank you in advance.

Arnott has really good prices and install videos! See link, I just bought front shocks.

Thank you for the link. I knew about them and actually bought shocks from them. However, I am looking for the DIY to rebuild air compressor because it seems to me that I just need to replace the worn part in there but the electric motor itself should be good. I just need to figure out who makes these parts.Originally Posted by hmillham

mb is usually very coy about suppliers. you need to look for tell tale signs on the parts - markings/ serial numbers and hope you get a google hit. Originally Posted by vladc77

i am sure the broken compressor can be repaired for almost nothing if you know who the supplier is.

I tried. I had a hairline fracture in the plastic casing and epoxied it, sealed it, and re-enforced it with external wrap and hose clamps to keep the plastic from expanding, cracking again. It lasted my 2 week trip to Chicago, but as soon as I got back, it cracked again. I don't know if the plastic on the pump I had was just bad material or what, but I worked out a free replacement from MB since the car was only just over 3 years old.Originally Posted by vladc77
