'09 Mercedes GL450 Keyless Go Problem
Hello.
I've noticed a fault with KeylessGo on my '09 Mercedes GL450. After locking the doors, even with the key being over 200 meters away, the driver's door still unlocks when I pull the handle. It it just the driver's door with this problem. All other doors including the boot do not open when handles are pulled.
Has anyone experienced this? What could be the problem?
Thanks for any help.

Yes, I am sure. There's no other key nearby. Another thing to note is that I have to pull the door a bit hard before it unlocks the car. Pulling all other doors the same way doesn't unlock the car, just the driver's door.
And when it's opened, it sets off the alarm (the horn). This has me concerned, as anyone could unlock the vehicle when I'm not close by.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Since the horn (alarm) goes off that indicates the door DOESN'T sense the presence of a key - the key normally disables the alarm before allowing the door to open.
I suspect there is a mechanical malfunction or wear in the driver's door handle mechanism that doesn't allow it to lock properly (or stay locked). You might have to replace all or part of that mechanism. If you lock it mechanically (with the key in the fob) does it stay locked?

Hello Fourdiesel, thank you for your reply.
I suspect it's a mechanical fault with the driver's door as well. I'd take it to the dealer over the weekend as this seems beyond me now.
To answer your question, no. It doesn't stay locked either way. The driver's door will still unlock all other doors when pulled slightly harder. I think I might have to get the entire mechanism replaced.
