Seems a mouse has decided that my intake is a good place to store his winter stash.

Dealer said he found "Many Cupfuls" of dogfood in the intake.

I will be getting rid of the mouse, but was wondering if anyone has any ideas on putting either wire screen (1/2 inch, not window screen) or maybe a similar sized plastic screen cloth across the intake.

How hard is it to reach the intake?

Has anyone had a similar issue?

 

I have never had rodent problems but I did go thru a flock of butterfly's that got sucked down the intake. When I got home I pulled the air filters and I was amazed how much butterfly bodies made it down there to the elements. Got me to thinking the same on a screen over the end of the two intakes behind the grill.
