Cell Phone Mount....
Ok guys,
The wife is nagging me about a cell phone holder for our GL. Previous cars I've had, have always had something of a tray, shelf, etc that the phone just naturally fit in. Wasn't a perfect fit nor purpose made for a phone but somewhere you could toss it and it wouldn't get flung all over the car.
The GL doesn't really have a spot like that. Neither phone fits in the pop-out storage tray above the ash tray. If you set it anywhere between the hand-holds on the center console it they will slide out of the openings and onto the floor.
I'm not willing to mount anything that will cause a permanent problem i.e. some of the extra strength adhesive type solutions. Plus there aren't a lot of flat surfaces to mount to in the GL even if willing.
Both cup-holders are usually in-use so that ends another possible solution.
I was just curious as to what everyone else was doing or if anyone had a brainstorm of an idea that works well for this vehicle.

My wife likes this mount that clips onto the air vent fins... she likes it because it positions the phone within close reach so she doesn't need to lean forward to grab it... the only downside is it slightly blocks airflow out of that vent, but she doesn't mind
