I was thinking of picking up a 09 GL 320 bluetech but hate the look. What do I need to upgrade the front to look like the 2010 and up? Do I need to buy a whole new bumper or just the front skid plate and convert the single fogs to quad or LEDs? Same thing goes for rear do I need whole bumper or just the rear skid plate.

 

Is the look that different?

Well thats you. If I needed a diesel to tow or work I would buy an american truck and not a luxury Mercedes. I've owner a lot of cars and already own a 2011 GL450 but want to expand my garage and hate how the 09 and previous look. Its way too outdated already.

 

I guess I don't notice the facelift difference that much.
Can't see "loving" one and "hating" the other.


I think the skid plate was an option for all x164 years.
The fog lights seem to have gone from one round to one oval to two round to an LED strip. I have seen aftermarket and OEM kits to change over.


I think the 166's look a lot better, but that is a whole new design.

 

front NP ….its easy the rear u need new bumper the skid plate won't fit ….07-09 rear sucks
