Question Just bought a '11 GL450 Nooooo.....! Lights!!!

Ok, so we just brought home our "new" 2011 GL450. We had it ordered about a month ago. We should have thoroughly went through the car. We only missed a couple things inside, like the center compartment won't latch, no owners manual, and a daytime running light is out. There are a couple of other problems but those are on contract to be repaired.

I was worried mostly about the high miles 43k but I wanted white and the led package and that's all we could find. I didn't realize the Led fog strip/running lights are yellowish. Noooooooo... I hate yellow lights and as far as I know, they can't be changed. No problem changing the daytime light (since one is burned out anyway) to white but I'm so disappointed about the LED strip.

I'm giving up a 2011 Cosmic White Volvo XC60 R-Design, bought it new, still has almost 2 years left on any-problem-covered comprehensive warranty with 22k mi. My husband traded in his Ford Raptor (thank God) for the Benz and we're selling the Volvo outright.

I want to get the running board lights, any suggestions on where to buy them and who you recommend installing them? I'm in Seattle if you have local suggestions. And is there any headlight suggestions and any ideas on how to ditch the yellow led's for bright white?

Thanks!

The LED's for DRL's should be white. It sounds like someone changed them out for aftermarket as Mercedes doesn't offer an option on color. Do you have the Lighting package?

Yes, it has the lighting package and appearance package. The daytime running lights in the headlamp assembly and the led light strip have a yellow look to them. They definitely aren't the xenon bright white with a bluish/purplish tinge (like if you pass a speed limit sign, gives off a purplish glow) that I think just about all new cars have now. It looks so dated. I'm really disappointed.

Maybe I can grab a picture.

Purplish glow is from aftermarket high color temp bulbs.

Guessing MB chose a color temp in the mid range where best visibility is..
