2012 GL450 Break Wear
Hey, i just replaced my front rotors and break pads. The break wear light has not reset. Is there a certain distance before it resets or is there a fast way to reset it.?

Just to add to this to help you understand. The brake pad sensor is just a loop of wire embedded in a piece of plastic. As the brake pads wear, they also wear through that plastic and when the brake pad reaches minimum thickness it makes contact with the wire loop and breaks it. When that happens you see the light on the dash telling you to replace the brake pads.
Since the sensor has effectively been destroyed, you need to replace the sensor. Once replaced, the light will turn off by itself. If you get tired of looking at the light, you can temporarily deal with it by clipping the lead, stripping the wire, and using a wire nut to complete the circuit again. If you're not so inclined, then just replace it.
