Code P2457 - Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Presure Sensor Circuit High

09 GL 320 BTC. Had one error last week. Cleared it with CanOBD2. A week later it came back again today with 2 errors. Truck is not in limp mode (yet).. Have anyone had it before? is it differential sensors or DPF?

(apologize if you've already seen it in benzworld. I really want to find out the scope of the fix.. after spending $4K on leak oil cooler seals and adblue tank heater two weeks ago... All diesel related!...)

I would guess it could be the sensor or the DPF.

DO you do a lot of idling or drive a lot of short trips?
How many miles arte on your GL?

Someone else replaced the sensor and said it was an easy job. (not sure which thread)
There are companies that clean DPF for $400 to $500, but no one has reported on the results.

You may want to check that code. It shows P2457 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooling System Performance
It is discussed a bit on Sprinter forums.

the truck is at 65000 miles. We do 60% highway. Not too much stop and go in Seattle traffic.

online research shows P2457
is "EGR cooling performance" related, different from what CanOBD2 tells. EGR valve was replaced by dealer two weeks ago due to its leakage.. I'll send it back for a diagnosis.

The only reliable translation of code numbers to actual function is on the Mercedes Star system. If it is the DPF differential pressure it is a common thing to have fail (and is an expensive little part). But it is pretty accessible and easy to change. It is, of course available ONLY at a dealer.
However it is a GREAT DEAL less expensive than the DPF filter itself so it probably is worth taking a chance on changing it out to see of that fixes the problem.

I track the mileage on all my vehicles in Excel, and have noticed an anomaly.

About 2,000 miles ago, the dealer replaced my DPF Pressure Sensor. In those 2,000 miles, I have only averaged about 18 mpg. In the 7,000 miles prior to the replacement, I averaged about 21 mpg. I've only owned the vehicle for about 9,000 miles.

Any thoughts?
